Finally, we can join again in raising money for our great pediatric wards of our eight Northern Colorado Hospitals. When we started this journey, there were five total hospitals with the Banner in Fort Collins just weeks old. Now, we have two in each, Fort Collins, Greeley, Longmont, and Loveland. And we have made a change that we hope will generate buzz and help us really help the lives of these kids who are spending time in the hospital. During the holiday season and the following months later.

Key Largo Lounge has been our host for this event for the previous four events, and we are beyond thrilled to be going home! In total, and this was with the first year being very, very slow, we have raised more than a thousand dollars on average.

There are MANY changes that will need to be made for this year’s rendition. This year, with COVID 19 still being a worry to many, one of the changes will be to the gifts that we will be accepting and purchasing. Here is the short list of things we are going to be able to accept.

• Journals and diaries
• Toys sealed in original packaging
• Art Supplies
• Religious Literature
• Activity books

We have added a Texas Hold-em card tournament. In addition to watching a little pig skin, one person can walk away from the event with an extra little cash by winning the Poker for Pediatrics. $10 of every $50 entry will go to the winner. With up to 25 spots available, that could be a winning prize for $250. Not bad for eating chili, enjoying beverages, and helping kids. This is a chance to live your Vegas Dreams, without the pumped in oxygen and expensive travel.

Then, did I mention chili? Red, green, white, vegan, meat, no meat, hot, medium, and of course, other. $25 to enter, $5 from every Crock Pot to the winner. We have had recipes with buffalo, chicken, beef, pork and more. Throw on your chef’s apron and yell at the help………wait, don’t do that. Just cook up a pot, let the creative juices flow, and come do what we do on November 13^th.
