I am also the author of two children’s book series–The Adventures of Keeno & Ernest and King’s Day Out. All three books in the Keeno & Ernest series have received the nationally acclaimed Mom’s Choice Awards® among other individual awards. My latest series, King’s Day Out, is co-written with a doctor of pediatric occupational therapy, and we are on a mission to empower children as they navigate life’s sensory adventures. Both books in the series have been Kindness Certified by ELLA’s Way.

Storytelling is the link that binds my experience and passion as an author with my day job as a copy and content writer.

On a personal note, I grew up in northern Michigan, and graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Advertising and a minor in creative writing. After spending more than 10 years climbing the corporate ladder, I decided to put my passion for writing to the forefront. I began writing for local newspapers and published a book of poetry. In 2000, my husband and I moved to London where I worked at The Economist. After starting my family a few years later, the children’s stories began to flow and my new career began. I live in a small town north of Boston with her husband, two sons, a cat, and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Koning (Dutch for King!).
